Rara Lake ” The Queen Of The Lakes in Nepal”

Rara Lake is the deepest freshwater lake in Far Western Nepal Himalayas. This lake is the queen of the lakes. Though, some travelers prefer trekking to this place. However, this is just a short trip to Rara.

Furthermore, The forested slopes encompassing Rara are so awesome. The Chhuchemara Slope 4,090m among them offers remarkable perspectives of Himalayan Extents and the lake itself. It is the best point to locate the striking perspective of the oval formed lake with rich vegetation and snow-capped crests transcending it. Further, coniferous vegetation surrounds the park in. It offers a sample of the region’s flora and fauna.

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrival - Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the say is free. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu

Day 2 Kathmandu

Early morning possibility of scenic Everest experience/Mountain flight (50 min)

This 50-minute flight from Kathmandu will provide you brief but stunning views of an encyclopedic assortment of several highest peaks of the world including mighty Mt. Everest.

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is a place where the city’s Kings were crowned. Having been built and rebuilt over the generations, it is now the valley’s number one tourist attractions. Most of the temples you see here are a mere three or four centuries old. Continue on to Swoyambhunath Stupa. On the top of the hill west of Kathmandu value is one of the popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. It is also referred to as “Monkey Temple” by many tourists because of the large tribes of monkeys that guard the hill.

Afternoon, a tour of Patan Durbar Square. Patan, also known as Lalitpur is the second largest city in the valley. Patan has a long Buddhist influence and the four corners of the city are marked by Stupas said to have been created by a great Buddhist emperor around 250 BC.

Day 3 Kathmandu - Nepalgunj

After breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Nepalgunj (1 hrs flight)

Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free.

Day 4 Nepalgunj - Talcha - Rara

Morning, transfer to the airport and fly to Talcha. Nepalgunj to Talcha is the most popular domestic flight in Nepal as it is the only way to connect with the Rara regions because these areas are out of reach by any means of transportation.

Upon arrival in Talcha, meet our representative and start a 4 hr hike to the famous Rara Lake. After you arrive Rara transfer to the hotel.

Now glimpse the striking view of oval-shaped Rara Lake with lush vegetation and snowcapped peaks rising just above it. Since in the neighborhood we do not see any signs of civilization so, the chances of sightings the species of migratory birds like Coots and mammals like Red Panda is pretty high during Rara Lake Excursion.

Day 5 Rara - Murma - Rara

After breakfast, explore Rara Lake. Visit Murma Top, take a walk around the lake (13km) or explore some of the view points.

Day 6 Rara - Talcha

After breakfast, hike to Talcha (4 hr hike). Upon arrival in Talcha, transfer to the hotel.

Day 7 Talcha - Nepalgunj - Kathmandu

After breakfast, transfer to Talcha airport and fly to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj connect your flight to Kathmandu.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. Rest if the day is free.

Day 8 Kathmandu

This is also a buffer day. The flights from Talcha to Nepalgunj are weather dependent, hence we have to put one buffer day in Kathmandu

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath Stupa

Pashupatinath is one of the sacred Shiva temples on the Indian sub-continent. It draws devotees from all over India, including many colorful Sadhus (wandering Holy men). It is the largest temple complex in Nepal. Visiting Pashupatinath begins and ends a traditional pilgrimage circuit.

On the eastern side of Kathmandu is a huge stupa of Boudhanath. This is the largest stupa in Nepal and one of the largest in the world. It is the sacred place for Buddhist pilgrims. Once you enter the stupa complex it resembles Bharkor street of Tibet with a considerable population of Tibetans, a number of thriving monasteries and many small shops selling Tibetan artifacts.

Afternoon, the tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur also known as ‘Bhadgaon’ is the third largest town in the valley. The stone embedded street links a string of temples, monastery, courtyards and monumental squares. You will quickly notice how vibrant the town’s cultural life is with strong communities of potters, woodcarvers, and weavers.

Day 9 Kathmandu - Departure

Free till departure. Transfer to the airport in time to connect your onward flight
