Nepal Experiential Tour – Live The Culture Of Nepal

This Nepal experiential tour will argue, take you to the heart of Nepali culture. First and foremost, during this trip, you will meet with local people, stay in one of the village homes, and participate in the family day activities. These activities range from milking cow, grinding rice, and some activities that you may have never tried before. No doubt, the host family is very accommodating and will put a great deal of effort into arranging a lifetime experience for you.

Further, this Nepal experiential tour starts from Kathmandu where you will enjoy the tour of various UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The tour proceeds to Pokhara. You will stay one night at the hotel in Pokhara. The next day you will be transferred to a mountain village. Here you will spend 2 days. In those two days, you will have a great opportunity to live in Nepal culture and tradition.

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrival - Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 Kathmandu

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is a place where the city’s Kings were crowned. Having been built and rebuilt over the generations, it is now the valley’s number one tourist attraction. Most of the temples you see here are a mere three or four centuries old. The entire square was designated as a World Heritage Monument in 1979.

Continue on to Swoyambhunath Stupa. On the top of the hill west of Kathmandu value is one of the popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. It is also referred to as “Monkey Temple” by many tourists because of the large tribes of monkeys that guard the hill.

Afternoon, the tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The stone embedded street links a string of temples, monastery, courtyards and monumental squares.  Nearby is Pottery Square, where thousands of clay pots are made and sold. Just east is Tachupal Tole, another square containing temples and monasteries and craft museums. You will quickly notice how vibrant the town’s cultural life is with strong communities of potters, woodcarvers, and weavers. Experience pottery making (30 min).

Day 3 Kathmandu - Pokhara

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara Valley. Approx. 200 km from Kathmandu, Pokhara enjoys a mild climate, clean air, reflection of snow-capped mountains on the sheltered lake. Its relaxed atmosphere is pleasantly removed from the hectic hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Lakeside, Pokhara is a traveler’s oasis. Upon arrival in Pokhara, transfer to the hotel.

Evening, stroll around the famous lakeside area.

Day 4 Pokhara - Home stay

After breakfast, visit the famous World Peace Stupa. A large Buddhist stupa is located on the ridge overlooking Phewa Lake at an elevation of 1113m. Standing more than 40m tall, the stupa looks as if it has been cross-bred with a lighthouse. This site provides one of the most satisfying short hikes in the Pokhara Valley.

Later, hike to Pumdi Bhumdi (approx 3.5 hrs hike).  Pumdi Bhumdi is one of the places to experience Nepali culture, tradition, agriculture, village life & the best place to view Annapurna Himalaya range. Arrive at the local home. Meet and greet the host family. After lunch, explore the local village. Participate in preparing dinner.

Day 5 Home stay - Pokhara

Wake up early to see the awesome sunrise view. After breakfast, explore the local school and other viewpoints. After lunch, hike to Pame. After one hour boating on Fewa Lake, transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free.

Day 6 Pokhara - Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu retracing the same highway. Upon arrival in Pokhara, transfer to the hotel.

Evening, transfer to an authentic Nepali restaurant for a farewell dinner with cultural shows.

Day 7 Kathmandu - Departure

Free until departure. Transfer to the airport in time to connect your onward flight
