Standing on the plateau in the northern Himalayas of Asia is the autonomous region of Tibet. It is the highest country of Earth referred to as “Roof of the World”. This country has an average elevation of 4,300 meters and is the homeland of the Tibetans people belonging to various ethnic groups. During Tibet tours, visitors will glimpse overwhelming landscapes, fabulous monasteries, and century-old caravan trails. It has been depicted as ‘Shangri-La” in the western world because of geographical inaccessibility.
Doors reopen to tourism in early April (as it is usually closed to visitors in March for Tibetan New Year). The ideal time to travel is during Spring (from April till August) & Autumn (September, October, November).
